What you're
agreeing to.
These are the terms that apply when you buy a Boffin Hub coaching session or package: what you're buying, how payment works, how cancellation works, both ours and your statutory right, and what happens if something goes wrong.
Who you're contracting with
These are the terms that apply when you buy a coaching session or package from Boffin Hub. They sit alongside, not instead of, our privacy policy and our ethics commitments.
Boffin Hub is UK-established. The contract for your coaching is between you and Boffin Hub, governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, in which case you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your own country's courts under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
What you're buying
Boffin Hub sells live, 1-to-1 video coaching sessions on using Claude, delivered by a specialist, in three packages:
- –Starter Session: one 50-minute live session.
- –Coaching Block: three 50-minute live sessions, to be used over up to 8 weeks.
- –Deep Dive Programme: six 50-minute live sessions, to be used over up to 16 weeks, and the only package that carries the Independence Guarantee (section 07).
Current prices for each package are shown on our pricing page and confirmed again at checkout before you pay. The contract is formed when your payment is accepted, not when you first view a price.
Price and payment
Prices are quoted and charged in US dollars (USD). Payment is taken by card through Stripe, via our booking partner Cal.com, at the time you book. We also invoice companies directly on request, payable before the first session unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
VAT, GST or other sales tax is handled at checkout where it applies to you. If you're paying personally and expensing the session through your employer, see the note on our pricing page about US tax treatment (IRS Section 127): that's general information, not advice.
Our own cancellation policy
You can cancel or reschedule any session free of charge up to 24 hours before it's due to start. Inside that 24-hour window, we charge half the session fee, because your specialist has held that time exclusively for you and can't fill it at short notice. If something genuinely unexpected comes up, talk to us: this is a policy, not a trap, and we apply it with judgement.
This 24-hour policy is a commercial term of our contract with you. It is separate from, and does not replace, your statutory right to cancel described in section 05.
Your statutory right to cancel
If you are a consumer (buying for personal use, not as a business) resident in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel this contract within 14 days of the day you buy, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK) and the equivalent EU Consumer Rights Directive.
To cancel within the 14-day period, tell us clearly, using our contact form with enquiry type "Data request (privacy)" or simply describing your order and that you wish to cancel. We'll refund you within 14 days of being told, using the same payment method you used to pay.
If your first session falls inside the 14-day period (which is common, since we match and book quickly): by booking a session date inside that window, you are expressly requesting that we begin the service before the cancellation period ends, as the Regulations require. If you then cancel after the session has taken place, you'll owe us a reasonable amount for the service already provided, calculated pro-rata against the total price. If you cancel before any session has taken place, you get a full refund regardless of how much of the 14 days has passed.
- –This statutory right applies per package purchase, not per session within a multi-session package.
- –It does not reduce or replace the First Session Promise or the 24-hour cancellation policy above, whichever is more generous to you in your situation applies.
- –It does not apply to business purchases (companies buying for their employees), only to consumers buying for themselves.
The First Session Promise
Leave your first session with something working in Claude, or that session is free. This applies to the first session of any package. See our pricing page for the full wording.
The Independence Guarantee
On the Deep Dive Programme only: you'll be working independently inside six sessions, or we'll keep going, up to two further sessions free. This guarantee is not available on the Starter Session or Coaching Block packages.
If something goes wrong
We provide coaching with reasonable care and skill, in line with the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded.
Beyond that, our liability to you for any claim connected to a coaching purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that package. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business opportunities, arising from how you use anything built or learned during a session.
Changes to these terms
If we make a meaningful change to these terms, it applies to purchases made after the change, not to a package you've already bought. The version date at the top of this page reflects the last substantive update.
